Shiraz
2004
Our
Shiraz is hand picked in April, matured in oak, and
bottled the following March. The Shiraz grows at the
lower end of the north facing slope of our vineyard.
The vine rows end where the creek winds through a wilderness
area sheltering swamp hens and maned geese.
The
2004 Shiraz is a vibrant, garnet coloured wine showing
candied fruit flavours with an underlying earthy character.
It is medium bodied on the palate with a bouquet of
blackberry and liquorice making it a smooth drinking
wine for all occasions.

Semillon
Sauvignon Blanc 2006
Our
Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc grapes are blended to make
the Classic Dry White wine for which the Margaret River
Region has become well known. The Semillon differs from
the vigorous Sauvignon Blanc and offers large bunches
of translucent berries hanging from its softer wood.
Planted
between the Cabernet and Sauvignon Blanc its warm green
gold leaves are protected from sharp winds and the huge
succulent bunches ripen in a gentle atmosphere.
The bouquet of this wine is very aromatic with sweet
melons and lychees apparent. There are underlying grassy
notes that add lift and character to the wine.
The
flavours of asparagus and melons are succulent and mouth-filling
on the palate. The wine has a nice rounded feel and
is well balanced by the lemony acidity. Green apple
and asparagus flavours linger on the tight elegant finish.

Sauvignon
Blanc 2006
The
vigorous Sauvignon Blanc grows on the lower slopes of
the vineyard the vines producing tight golden bunches.
The intense flavour of these grapes is appreciated by
all and many are picked and eaten as table grapes before
harvesting for our wines.
The
Sauvignon Blanc benefits from the annual leaf plucking
session around veraison to allow the sunlight to penetrate
the dense canopy and provide good ventilation- our hedge
against fungal build up.
Intense
melon and zesty citrus fruits dominate the nose. Passionfruit
and asparagus add depth and complexity.
Fresh, ripe melon flavours are evident on this well
balanced palate. The palate is lean with a continual
apple taste until the cleansing acidity on the finish.
The palate is long and flavoursome with an aftertaste
of freshly grated lemon peel.

Cabernet
Sauvignon 2006
The
Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are grown at the eastern end
of the north facing slope protected by our native forest
and were handpicked in April 2006. The wine was matured
in oak before bottling in March 2007.It is always a
joy to walk along the vine rows just prior to harvest
and see the bloom on the purple bunches ripe and ready
for picking.
The
wine is a deep alizarin crimson colour driven by complex
flavours of cherry and caramel. It is a cool climate
red wine in the European style. It is a medium weighted
wine, well rounded with a subtle bouquet of smoky, earthy
qualities.
